Sofia Pepe, daughter of the evergreen Emidio Pepe, belongs to the second of the three generations that run the legendary Abruzzo winery at present. Tireless ambassador of her father’s wines, Sofia has a worthy duty to keep up with her family: continue to produce wines of utmost artisan quality and extreme longevity. Enough to say that the first vintage of the winery’s Montepulciano, 1964, is still today in its fullest expression. Photo ©Francesco Orini
